Hi! It’s Misty.
This blog began in a season when I needed to be grounded. I realized that the way I cooked — carefully, emotionally, with a deep respect for memory — was not just a habit, but a way of healing, honoring, and connecting.
The Quiet Table is where I share those meals — the ones that carry meaning, stories, and care. You won’t find fussy techniques or high-speed kitchen hacks here. Just simple, grounded recipes with heart. Meals for the rainy days, the heavy days, the celebration days, and the in-between — oftentimes inspired by recipes from chefs and cooks I admire, or a reimagining of the dishes I grew up enjoying.
To me, cooking can be an act of love, a form of remembering, and a space for quiet reflection.
Whether you’re here for a recipe, a story, or just to feel a little less alone at your own kitchen table — welcome. There’s always room here.
